Fall Colors

Okay, when I logged in today, I couldn't remember my password...  Then, I saw the last time I blogged was July 9:).  No wonder I couldn't remember my password!

And now it's fall...  Fall is my favorite season.  Mostly because it contains Thanksgiving (my favorite holiday), and the weather goes from, "Really 100's?  Totally over you!!!" to "Welcome 80's, you have been missed!!".  There might also be Black Friday, but that is another blog topic all together!

This year we are having fall somewhere amazing!  My drive to and from school each day consists of tree lined streets and the colors are changing and it is beautiful!!  Each weekend we try to do something fun as a family since we are new around here:).  Last weekend we went to Sundance.  A.MAZ.ING.  No wonder celebs frequent this place!  It is all kinds of beautiful.  The kids loved the weather and they are getting really good in the car.  Time to adopt another baby right?  HA!  That is another blog topic as well.  Sigh...

Back to fall!  If you do not care about God's creation that is fall, do not continue with this post.  There is about to be a ridiculous amount of pictures of fall posted on this blog!!  No, I'm serious, A LOT of pictures.

Let's go to Stripe Land!

Okay, weird title, I know:)  When we moved to Utah, I was worried about the kids making friends.  The kids in our neighborhood just finished with school on July 2 and we have been here since June 1.  How would the kids meet new friends?  Would they be lonely?  Well God answered that prayer when we had been in UT for about 2 hours.  Some neighbors came over and the kids were fast friends!  Of course, I still worried.

My kids have always been close. Andrew and Annabelle do not have a memory that does not include each other.  Benjamin has been their treasure since we brought him home.  Okay, honestly, Andrew didn't want to go within ten feet of him until he had been home a week.  But since then, they have been best buddies.  They get time by themselves, or with their friends, but I also ask them to play together.  I want them to be close.

Since the move they have chosen to play together more than ever before.  Maybe it is the lack of quantity of friends around that were never in short supply before.  Whatever the reason, I loved what I saw this morning.  I was changing the sheets in the guest room, and had the comforters on the floor.  All three of them dove under the covers and dubbed it "Stripe Land".  The back side of the comforter, which was covering them has stripes...  I know, super creative right?  They played in Stripe Land for about a half an hour and then ate some breakfast and then BACK TO STRIPE LAND!  I don't really know what they were doing under there, just a lot of giggling and "oh that's nice" was heard outside of Stripe Land.

An hour later, the beds are still not made, but my kiddos are making memories together as siblings, just the three of them.

A lot more valuable than neat sheets.

So a lot has happened...

A month before the last post Bill was laid off.  Bill worked for that company for 11 years and was ready to retire from said company at the age of 65.  That was not God's plan and we know that now.  After being laid off for more than 3 months, Bill has accepted a position in Salt Lake City, Utah.  We are so excited for this new adventure, or at least we keep telling ourselves that:)  Bill will be leaving in a few weeks and I will stay here with the kids until school is out.  I will try to blog more, as to keep everyone informed about the goings on of this Arizona Girl and her Arizona Babies in a state where the high today was 12 degrees.  TWELVE DEGREES!!!!  We are beyond words sad about what this means as we leave our family (almost all of it) behind.  We are having a hard time imagining our lives away from our friends.  We know God has a plan.  His Will is often uncomfortable for us, but it is always best.  Please pray with us for the road God has already laid out before us. None of this is a surprise to Him and we look forward to all He will teach us along the way!

7:00 Breakfast and more "up-selling" of soccer camp, this time, Annabelle gets in on the action!!
7:15 Breakfast of champions including eggs and pancakes
7:45 Get dressed for soccer camp, Andrew is getting really excited
8:00 Get in the car for soccer camp and talk the entire way about how awesome soccer camp is going to be
8:25 Arrive at soccer camp, and unload all of us onto the soccer field on a blanket to watch Andrew at his request
8:30 Soccer camp begins, WITH ANDREW IN ATTENDANCE!!!!!!!!!
8:45 Benjamin can no longer hide his enthusiasm for soccer camp, he goes over to the pile of balls and gets one, kicking it and running at the same time.  I should have signed him up for soccer camp.
10:00 Last water break before soccer camp ends at 10:30.  Andrew picks up his water bottle and starts walking to the car.  Wait- soccer camp isn't over yet...  "I'm done Mom, I'm going home with or without you".  Okey dokey...
10:03 All children belted in and on the way home from soccer camp.

Much better than day 1 don't you think?

Stay tuned for day 3 of soccer camp...  I promise it wont be a whole month away.

The first day of Soccer Camp

Here is a look at the first day of soccer camp:
1. Andrew gets up after a good night sleep and is SUPER excited about Soccer Camp.
2. Andrew eats a great healthy breakfast and is SUPER excited about Soccer Camp.
3. We get to the field 10 mins early and Andrew is SUPER excited for Soccer Camp to start.
4. We check Andrew into Soccer Camp, he is SUPER excited.
5. We put on his cleats, he is less excited.
6. I get out his ball, even less excited.
7. Soccer camp starts and he refuses to go on the field.  Cue the beginning of what will be known as "Soccer Camp Meltdown 2012"
8. I carry Andrew to the car crying.
9.  I grumble to myself (okay it was probably out loud) about how soccer camp was $90 bucks plus the $150 we spent on gear...   GRRRRRR!
10.  Andrew: "Mom- I would totally love Soccer Camp if Annabelle would go"
11. Annabelle: "Don't even think about it."
